Join us for glassweekend '09 at WheatonArts in Millville, NJ from July 17-19. glassweekend, presented by The Creative Glass Center of America (CGCA) at WheatonArts and Cultural Center and the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass, is an international symposium and exhibition of contemporary glass. Since 1985, glassweekend, a biennial event, has brought together the world’s leading glass artists, collectors, galleries, and museum curators for a three-day weekend of exhibitions, lectures, hands-on glassmaking, artists, demonstrations and social events. glassweekend '09 opens with a reception in the gallery on July 24 from 5:30PM-9:00PM. The exhibition highlights the work of local artists Drew Hine and Theo Keller who will be in attendance at the opening. Moshe Bursuker, Chadd Lacy, Jiyong Lee, Jay Macdonell, Robert Mickelsen, John Miller, Masayo Odahashi, Pat Owens, Marlene Rose, and Erica Rosenfeld have all created new work, which was curated for the prestigious New Jersey biannual exposition. Also featured is new jewelry by Deborah Faye Adler, Jane D'Arensbourg, Nirit Dekel, Karen Gilbert, Marianne Kohler, Elise Ordorica, Joyce Roessler, and Erica Rosenfeld.
